We ran the mini cooper as a spec class years ago at TCHR, had to use silver mabuchi motor, speedo was open but didn't have all the boost options that they do now. We used the M03 chassis set up for rear wheel drive, it was a blast to race.

Problem is gettign enough weight to actually dig into track and having something powerful enough to pull it, usually in order to be powerful enough to pull the amount of weight needed will be something that cannot make the corners. Is the coil on the plug pushed in ? If yes, then the rod is worn or he engine has to high of compression and needs to be reshimmed.
