WHAT??
Frankly I am a bit confused and a touch offended.
Why does it have to be an officer? This club is NOT the officers responsibility. It is the club members one and all that have equal responsiblity. The officers only additional responsiblilty is the clarical and financial aspect of running a club, like making sure the bills are paid on time and taking the heat when things don't go quite right.
I don't see a issue with a min rd ht for safty sake and the carpet... Not sure you can get it there without some cutting etc. But 10 15 20mm. And then we can just make a block they all have to roll over... Was or is there a minimum for trucks? No car should be allowed to drag aroun the track.
Sorry I confused you, I was in a hurry at work. I see the mistake in my sentence. As for offending thats another subject. I thought it was up to the officers to uphold the rules once they were set, but I see that they are open to change without a club vote. I could go on with this, but I don't think it would do anygood. The 2 Spec. Classes of racing that we have are the most affordable racing this club has. Thats why I like to see it stay as stock as possible with the way the economy is. Sorry don't mean to offend other drivers, but I find these classes the most fun. Thats why I get pissy about changing the rules. When you start changing to much it seems to take the fun out of it and your wallet. Just how I see-it. Now you can fry me.
My understanding of this class is your truck is supposed to have all stock traxxas parts. I don't know that a pen spring qualifies as that. If thats legal I think thats wrong. Now if you want to stack 4 shock pistons inside the shock as limiters those are stock parts. It would be nice to have a min ride height for carpet because the only way to get the front lower would be to put spacers in the shocks and if there was a min. ride height there would basically be a set number of spacers required in the front shocks to get this ride height.
Fuel line or pen springs.. There's no difference to me.
I just want to match spec vehicles against drivers. No truck more whacked then the next "guy."
i'm coming to race no matter what Sunday and do/ and respect the rules posted but if the fun gets sucked out of this class you can find me on the rocks.
Good luck and see ya Sunday!
Just oozing with tallent... Super dialed

Shock oil is one of the largest things you can do to make the slash handle. Swapping pistons also with shock oils( truck comes with 3 options we like the single hole in the front)
Allan was at 25MM, My stock shock slash is at 34MM for ride ht measuring at the skid plates.. 25 will not reach the carpet.. With spacers out of the rear it will get near 25mm( spring spacers)
Turtle effect is the biggest issue, newer tires have a ton more grip then older tires and mostly do to Foam failure not rubber failure, On the carpet the softer foam( older tire, Collapsed Foam) is much less likly to traction roll over and will be a ton easier to drive....I use my older tires on the oval program as they are much easier to drive through high speed corners..
I am posting some pics of allans truck next to mine so you can see the ride ht diffs. And FYI I can put laps on allan with my truck as it sits a lot can be said for no walls slow in fast out.. Sorry Allan
Limiters in shocks is not a lot different then changing shock oils as far as work goes and I can pretty much guarantee a hardcore dirt racer will often work the limiters to get better handling outside also, just usually not nearly as much.
In this case I was refering to the rules that have already been put in place. Anybody that knows what the rules are (just as Roger did this time) is capable and expected to answer questions, and I will say it again that it is NOT solely the officers responsiblity
what can I say.. I'm a sucker for vw's. Plus itll match my crawler but I can leave this one at home. Its pretty light so maybe better left for a mod class

That looks like a fun body to run. That Baja look. It would be cool for mod. I was thinking of one for a beach beater in the summer. Good luck with it.
