Since last year I have heard at least 5 people ask about running nitro and every time I hear what you just posted. If people want to run the nitro cars they have, you should be helping them get organized in a class not telling them nobody else wants to run them. At hobbytown I have run into several people who said they felt unwelcome at the club because they run nitro. Does nitro demand more work? Absolutely. But that's the nitro racers problem not yours. I'm not asking for anybody to "go back to nitro". I'm asking you to be open to the idea of having a class for nitro for those who have them.

The one thing we have to look at is time, it's the determining factor for all our racing whether it be indoors or out. I wouldn't mind seeing a nitro misfits class to see what kind of a turnout we get.

We have guys that show up and run nitro. Show up and you will be welcome to run. You just won't have a designated class to run with without a couple others. If you don't mind running in novice or with other cars, we would love to have you. We have never turned anyone away, so your
Last comments are a little weird to be honest. Hope to see you there !!

Sorry if my post was "weird" but I stand by it. I know no one gets turned away, but being welcome and feeling welcome are two different things. I mean it took my strongly worded post for anyone to say "yes bring your nitro". Mostly everyone at the races seem cool with nitro but it only takes a couple people constantly saying you should get an elec. to feel like your truck is not wanted there. Those isolated incidents are what stick out and make people not want to come back. I really like racing there but there is definitely a perception at hobbytown that we don't run nitro. I think we should change that.

As far as time I agree, I think nitro should go before novice for three reasons. 1) Temp drop is less from 6-9 than it is from 7-10. 2) So we can warm up during the break and be ready without being loud during another race 3) To be done being loud before 10. Also very strict starts with no waiting for a car that won't run.

I hear ya. I can tell you, everyone at the club is cool with nitro. You would be hard pressed to find any long standing club member that hasn't ran nitro at one time or another. I know I was one of the guys saying that you should try electric and I am sorry that I offended you. You are a good driver, and me being the type of person that hates to see guys struggle, is what prompted that comment. The worst thing to see is someone new come in, struggle, and then quit. We have seen it time and time again with nitro. We mean no ill will at all to the nitro enthusiasts. Some of the best offroad times I have had has been running 1/8. I hope you see my side as well. Even through all the troubles last year you stuck with it and that is both awesome on your part and very rare as well. You helped out at the club a lot last year and it's much appreciated. Please let the nitro guys you chat with at Hobbytown to come and make a class so they all may participate. Again, i apologize that I suggested another class but I am glad you will be giving it another try this year. See you soon.

Thanks I'll be there. Is there going to be a pre-season meeting of some sort? I don't have Word so I can't see the schedule.

The Rustler would fit into either the stock/mod truck class depending on what other club members decide to run. Otherwise novice or a misfits class depending on who shows up with what type of vehicles.

If you are looking for more information on what people are running in their stadium trucks let me know.
