2016 Off-Road Classes?

Post by elihildreth »

Hi all I'm newer to the hobby. Yes I'm aware of the novice category, but i hope to be out of that very soon. I have a SCT with a "stock" 17.5T setup. Could anyone tell me if there is a stock SCT class at your club? If not does the "open" category have any rules or restrictions? Could i get a rundown of the other popular classes so i know what to buy for my next vehicle? Thanks in advance for the help.

I think the only rule for open classes is batteries are limited to 2cell 5000 mah.

. No limit on batteries as far as MAH, but 2 cell only.

My advice would be run what you have for a few weeks. Talk with some of the guys about what we are running. Then make a choice on what you want to upgrade to. You can waste a lot of money quick buying stuff and finding out later it was not a smart choice. Talking from experience on that one! See you around this summer.
