I'm game but where could we use the chemicals and where would these get stored?

I can get huge sheets of cardboard from a refrigerator store just a block away from me so I'll probably start this week but my garage is way to cold to get anything but ice to set

Not too familiar with everything so you will have to help guide, depending on how big these pieces are we can probably store them out back at the armory providing they are light and managable.

Even simulated rock can get heavy fast. Bill and I will be at the next Sunday race and we will talk about it more when we get there

Ok first off Bill, You are my hero. These portable rock coarses sell on RCC for well over a $1000. I had no clue of how to build these and we could have a nice coarse for alot cheaper. Im game if its all right with the officers to set up something in the back room on sundays. Im thinking srew up some ruff cut 2x4s and some Central Sales casters to wheel these sections around. I think a more organized event would draw more potential crawlers. So first off can we store these at the armory? Second is there somewhere in the duluth area where a couple of us can meet to build these. As of now Shawn, Randy and I are willing to donate $50 each for funding. I would like to see a section for the upcoming sunday race. Any thoughts?

A couple of questions come to mind. First, would the portable course be able to be stored outside? If not will it be light enough to be elevated? The floor space in the cage is all used up, but iff we can hang it or something we should be alright. Who will run the competition, and when are you thinking it will be run? Between heats? Basically, I like the idea. :)

Well what im thinking is: portable? Yes it would have to be. Im think something with alot of surface area confined in a small area. Like something that would fit in a corner, up against a wall. Would have to have a backing so we are not leaving tire scuffs on any wall or falling off a cliff (trucks can only roll down at you). Mabey five feet high give or take. Mabey ten feet wide at base. Im thinking three or four sections that can be rolled away. I dont want something that takes alot of time for set up and tear down. I think it has to be weather proof. I would think mortor and foam could withstand the weather. If this kicks off why not just move it to proctor when spring comes and expand it. For running the comp: Usually a comp has two to three runs. Six to eight gates. Im thinking some how schedule it like three runs so that each run was a two hour time slot. Us racers could then reserve a ten min time slot. To run the coarse. Either Chad or I could keep score. Worst case we will use the same tablet as we do in the woods. At this point im still up for sugestions.

So four locals showed, and only three drove at the best comp our area had to offer.

To everyone that didn't show up: Sell your trucks. I could use some cheep axels
