I suggested the mini coppers befor we took in the street spec, but that got shot down because people thought the car would become discontinued  I watched the mini coppers run when Jabber and I whent down to Milwaukee for the Novak race in '07. One of the guys I pit next to said he loved it, and its a great club level class.

I've always wanted one of these things, and I think I'll just go out and buy one just for the heck of it

I'm going to have Hobbytown order a Tamyia Mini Copper for me. If Hobbytown can't deliver the car, or the parts, the class could be a bust :|

We will run a heat for 4 cars maybe 3.
not to muddy things up .I was thinking about a vintage 1/12 class with nascar bodies
http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/page14.html
.There are a lot of those(1/12) around and can be had for cheap and lots of parts available.

Sounds interesting Jim. We talked about this before. Joey & I are in. I'm not interested in having one of those chicken coops. Looks like I'm getting a 3.2.

Yes I did see them on you tube. It's like watching a VTA Race. I'll stick to pan chassie cars that are made for carpet.

You should buy a 12th scale then? Or run one of your old ones....

I dont see a reason why you shouldnt buy one though... No way to know which class everyone will like until people are able to see the cars run :) Go for it!

12th scale is fun, can't swing speed control and motor right now. A spec class of 12th might be ok. Sorry the chicken coop I'm not into. Have a line on a 3.2 sport, just waiting to hear back. You are more than right about how people would react to a class. You never know what they might like.

Thats what I mean get a 3.2! We need people to put there money where their mouths are so we can see what cars are out there and what we like!

Questions about this vintage 1/12 class though? Does that meet the rules? Don't we need a spec chassis that is the same for everyone? Are their kits for this readily available to purchase? If we are talking about a vintage class we might as well of ok'd the vta as our spec class?

The kit for the mini cooper is 118 with an electronic speedo and a brushed motor. I am sure in the future we will want a brushless setup but we could spec that out when the time comes. This class needs to be something that someone can go and buy a NEW kit for or we have the same problem that we have with the current chassis...
