I'm okay with running 1/12th as a 'sportsman' 1/12th class if that's what you guys choose... My preference is pro stock(advancing ESC). I've already spent the money for it and the extra speed is fun.
My favorite combination for this class was the 13.5, standard speedo combo we used a few years ago... just as fast , less screwing around.

2006-27 turn motor/4 cell battery
2007-13.5 brushless/4 cell battery
2008-17.5 brushless/4 cell battery
2009-17.5 brushless/timing advaned speedo/1s battery(new car for 1s battery)
2010- wow! Same as last year
2011- change is coming again, ain't this fun!
