Shane, I don't have a problem with you at all. What I don't like is how whenever you come onto this website you stir up a whole bunch of crap. We had a club meeting last week and you weren't there, get over it. Nothing has changed from last year that effects you so I don't know what your problem is. If you were that worried about it you should have made sure of when the meeting was like the rest of us that were there. As far as the Spec class goes, we decided at the meeting to look into new options. If you don't like the Mini Cooper then don't get one, seems simple enough.
As far as not being able to hear what was said at the last meeting, that old lame excuse is done. All the talking you keep referring to was during the Slash debate, the Shortcourse discusion was civil and controled, you weren't paying attention.
How about next time you just start a new thread titled "Hey guys, missed the meeting, sorry. Anything new come up?"

So as long as I don't come on here and express an opinion than its all good, I paid my membership dues I think I am aloud to have an opinion. I wouldn't have had to say a damn thing if what was decided at the meeting was posted somewhere I don't know like the WEBSITE! I was asking a couple of questions that pertain to what I run and giving an opinion on the mini coopers and that was my opinion. You bring up this bulls@#t about me not listening at the meetings it was hard to hear, we weren't all siting next to Gary. And as far as asking if anything new come up at the meeting, don't we have an officer who is supposed to keep the website up to date you'd think a club meeting and classes being run this year should be posted within a day or so of the meeting.

Providing that you guys keep the TCS rules and actually "Spec" out the class... AKA no ESC's with timing/boost... etc...

540 stock motor with the stock speed control. Open steering servo. Decide on the proper gearing and spec a cheap lipo battery.. Like Yeah Racing or Zippy Packs.

I think you guys made a good choice and we will see how it goes over the winter. I would like one of the racers to be the commisioner of this class to sort out the ideas and rules as we run them and see what needs to be done to keep them competative on a level playing field.

Pick a battery or batteries as we all know the lipos have had great life and you should be able to get years of racing out of them so I wouldn't be apposed of picking a certain brand or capacity. Thinking how racers and classes come and go you could sell the car with the battery without a problem if you want to get out.

Bodies I would recomend box stock for starters, just my opinion. Once again a different looking car on race day.

Motors I would leave box stock for now, so let the motor dipping begin..

For me I will stick to the current club spec class and sit back and see how it goes for this winter because I have a Nitro TC3, HPI 1/18th whatever it was called, and a Dual Sport sitting in boxes after one year or partial year of racing after the fun ran out. My point is I don't need change to have fun and I hope this works out for the long haul.

Ben, you pretty much hit the nail on the head as far as the basic rules look right now. Mini Cooper body, silvercan stock motor, stock tamiya speedcontrol, and cheap lipo. Other details to be worked out soon.

Gary, I think the micro rs4 18th scale car might be the match that lit the fire to start LSRCC. Remember race nights in Tice's garage? Good old times!

Ben. Do you have any links to current run rules. This is one I found and it looks good. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/barry.h/ru ... _class.htm

Here is the battery I'm looking at and hobby town can give us support on these. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... XYKT6&P=SM

Gary, I got the 3.2. I stripped out the trinity and put every thing on the new chassie. Got to put in weights for the lipo differance. I think the car will work well. I will stick with you in the current spec class. Got my bolinks legends up and running too. I put a old 540 motor in it and a reg. nimha pack. There's no chicken coop gona touch it. I forgot how quick they are. Hope to make the first race.
