What a week of racing fun! i know not everyone hit up all the races but i did and what a blast! the track rocked, great job to everyone that did so much work on the track! Thursday night after the club point racing was done, work went into the track for the fair and nito races, were done at 12:45 they fixed holes, ramps and some kind of salt stuff was put on the track (yes i know that it is not the tech name of it so back off) i was not sure of the outcome of this but was told it would rock. when it was applied it looked like a dusting of snow (ick)and in the morning hours it was soaked into the dirt and it did. and i could not believe the traction we had!i do not believe it was ever watered Friday or Saturday. for maintenance on the track it was a leaf blower and a broom, the grove line was insane traction, but going off it would be like watching me try to drive my slash with a 7700kv motor in it, not pretty!
I would like to say thank you to josh ford for helping me a ton this weekend! he fixed my bump box for my stadium truck and got me running, i have never drove a nitro 1/10 before and it was a blast, and running a 20 min main was insane to me and loved it! this young man is a great racer and helps with all that is needed on the track to make it right!(Jeff and Debbie you did a great job with your son)
Weather was great all weekend for the races. and the with the fair going on makes for a great weekend with music and food.
I would like to say thankyou to gary, you put so much in our club and you are the man to thank for such a great place to race and have fun! side note for you gary, thanks for the battery for my bump box, i will bring it on Thursday for you.
Robert Robert Robert what a weekend man! we did not sleep Thursday night as we drank and watched the sun come up and headed to breakfast and the fair Friday at 11:30 wow who needs sleep when you got racing to do right?
The out come of this weekend for me was the best all season for me, got a third place in open sc i finished with one shock held into place with a body pin, so thanks for everyone else who broke so i could win! 4th for me in stadium i was doing well enough but the 20 min main was to much for me i was shaking in my shoes it was so much fun! once again my luck on the drawing went great as i won twice for a total of 50 bucks for jconcepts!
I know many more people have helped put this race on that i have not said, Thank you one and all!
