Dean Anderson passed away this morning and he raced with us for years until his health would not allow him to continue racing. Dean liked to race with us and was a lot of fun to be around. I will never forget Dean and Shane pitting together and some of the father son agurments both on and off the track they were just to funny to forget, you see Dean may not have been our best driver but he enjoyed being at the track with his family having a good time and realy that is what this club is all about. For those that may have not known Dean he is Britt and Breannas Grandfather, Shanes Dad and Justins Father in law and my brother in law. Dean and his family had raced back to our original club here in Duluth The Good Times R/C Club and the many other places that we had raced at over the years. I know he never lost the desire to race with us and would always talk about the good times he had had. More to come as arrangements are made.

Thank you Gary your right my Dad never lost that will to race, he always had a great time racing with everyone that knew him. I will never forget the father son battles we had on and of the track and the love of racing we had together. It was never quite the same racing after my Dad could no longer race, but he always asked about the guy's at the track. I'll never forget the time we were racing sedan against each other and I took him out on the last lap neither did he, of course I said it was an accident but he knew better and he gave me a lot of crap about it. I loved pitting with my Dad and truly enjoyed the way we would pick on each other with so much love behind it. I'll never forget racing with him at valley models, wild west, and as well as the armory, and spirit mountain, and every where else we traveled to race. Gary he always thought of you and all my uncles as real brothers. He always knew he wasn't a great driver and said many times "maybe they should put me back in the novice class" but to him it wasn't about how good he was he just enjoyed the company of his family as well as his racing family. He will be cremated and the funeral will be at the church he loved I can't remember the name of it but the obituary will be in the news tribune Thursday or Friday. Me, Justin, my brother, sister, and his wife Pat were there by his side as he took his last breath and is finally at peace.
