Re: Proposed vintage class

Just run them in the regular class. There's no reason to dilute an already sparse class with something that is basically the same. On a rough outdoor track the new buggies aren't that much better anyway.

Re: Losi XXX-SCB

I think this new Losi Short Course buggy is pretty cool. Could these run with regular buggy? http://www.losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0107 This buggy would be much more suited to running with the Short Course trucks. It uses the same wheels and tires and is nearly the same in dimensions...

Re: VTA Help

Firmware 212 mode 1. Lights 3 and 5 (I think, two lights either way) should blink. This is why you here it referred to as "blinky" mode.

I would say "mass produced." For example this would exclude any wraps you can buy that were not designed specifically for you.

Re: Would a track drag be a good idea?

I'm more a fan of something cheaper and ghetto rigged. I would take a 6' length of railroad tie and sink a bunch of heavy duty screws into one side of it. Then put some eyelets on each side, one for towing, and one on the back side to chain another tie to it that is smooth on the bottom. You already...

Red- I ran 5-5-2 at our track last year and it was very good when the track was dry. But at higher grip tracks like Full Throttle when its wet, it was diffing out to the front. Gives it a real wandery feel on power. 5-7-2, helped with that, or 7-5-2 if it was loose going into the corners.

New from McAllister. Sort of looks like a Panoz/Austin Martin.

For the second, the only issue would be that the servo would have to be mounted on the chassis. It would likely be too high if mounted like most people have it on the front suspension brace.

Make it like the world GT class. It would be sweet to see a bunch of 2-door sports cars sailing around the track. With a 200mm body I think the rear tires would only stick out about 2mm each side.

But alas... I will not be racing spec.

Are you using the tweak screws on the front of the t-plate? They should both be touching the plate but be careful not to over tighten them. Then you can adjust the torsional flex of the t-plate by turning the rear screw on the t-plate in or out. Lastly, gob a bunch of really sticky grease on the dam...
