no your not the only one with swaybars i have lots of them. but too help clarify this i get out the bible. first off SB's don't make the car any stiffer unless the car is leaning to the left or right. SB's reduce chassis roll.i'll try and make this brief because their is a lot of info here.
Scenario A: Car is too loose while entering a corner(off-power):
stiffer SB up front or softer one in rear.
Scenario B: Car is too loose while exiting a corner(on-power):
same a A: but try softer rear SB first.
Scenario C: Car pushes while entering a corner(off-power):
softer swaybar up front or stiffer swaybar in the rear.
Scenario D: car pushes while exiting the corner(on-power):
same as C: but start with the stiffer rear bar first.
Scenario E: Car pushes mid corner while maintaining neutral power.
softer sway bar up front or stiffer SB in the rear.
Scenario F: Car is too loose in mid corner while maintaining neutral power.
stiffer SB up front or a softer swaybar in the rear.
if your reading this, then your not making your car fast enough to beat me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
according to the book"you should always run a SB. This allows you to run slightly softer springs, helping you car to handle the bumps without having you car lean too much in the corners. Also, like springs and shock mounting positions you will likely want to run a stiffer swaybar in the front than the rear." hope this sheds some light on this subject for you but more than likely i have just opened a bigger can of worms.
