I would also be a fan of a team race. Find transponders to borrow and switch it between a sedan, spec car, truck, and 1/12 if there's enough people on board. That would make a fun special event, maybe as a season ender, who knows?

And 2 hours long

A team race would be fun, every one take turns cornering and have two batt's per car per team, 3-4 guys to a team, one CM'ing two wrenching, and one driving--12th,sedan, truck and spec cars in?

That might be a fun way to go, 3 to 4 cars X two packs each. when the one driver pulls in climb down and the next guy climbs up and takes off.

It could get very interesting,40 minutes of running each vehicle runs with there own class at 5 minute heats just taking time to swwitch PT or loaners.

I like all the ideas keep them coming this could become our new annual New Years Rumble event. Ten team owners and the rest of the names go in a hat to draw for there teams. Or have a draft and you position in the draft you draw for. It could be done before the race if we started a new thread and put a cutoff time to get it done.

Team Captains and choose like the old days of dodgeball. Don't know how you would decide the picking pecking order.

To keep it fair and not have stacked teams try this:

As you sign up you are given a number (1-? depending on how many teams there will be) 4 classes running sedan, spec, truck, 1/12.

Once everybody is signed up you are on whatever team # you have been assigned too. Luck of the draw and order in which you signed up in.

Would keep it random and fair.

I say 1 pack per car though, that will still make it a 20 minute race, have the driver coming down off the stand responsible for placing the next drivers car on the track that way the next driver has a few seconds to get on the stand and cannot start until the previous driver get's down and over to a table set up for holding the following drivers ride.

That would make it more of a relay race and there would be no way for the next driver to start early while they were climbing up a ladder.

I like where this is going! I am definitely a fan of drawing teams. I know I would have a blast with any team member. Besides, it will add a little thrill not knowing who is going to dominate. Not only that, in classic relay style you won't have any idea who's going to make it until the last leg puts in their laps.

I think pre-sign up would be best. Have a deadline at least a few days in advance. That would give us a chance to sort out any frequency conflicts and any other issues that come up.

One thing we would need to insure is that every team has a driver from each class....maybe throw your name in a particular class.......hmmmm we would need so many drivers from so many classes competing. I think everyone interested should post .......
change post to "Interest in team race".......
??????, that's next!!

Beleive it or not Trinity called me today before I called them. They are moving to a new location and have found 6 more spec cars. They are missing the Axel  and no tires. They want $40.00 each, she had to check to see if they had a battery and Motor included. I think they are the original kits. They also infomed me they will no longer handle the spec tires. I will be checking in agian tomorrow to see what kind of deal we will get on JACO tires direct from them. If it is the tire I will order them in the kit componds and mark them when they arrive to make them our new spec tire.

I would say that's some good news Gary! Now if we can only recruit a few more guys to race spec with us. It's the cheapest way to go and it is fun!

That track is so small, 55x36 and that includes the drivers stand. We ran there last weekend and it was tight, alot of fun tho.
