Menor, Robert and the rest are correct the quote was pointing out to Bullit that I posted correctly. Not sure how you misinterpreted my post but if you look back to what started this I told you "run what you have" and that it was more of a disadvantage.
Ok, and again, I apologize for this morning. I took it wrong. But I do agree that witta had no right to stick his nose in. But then, I should have known better from the meeting. Kids really don't need to read those words, but I am not admin here. Thanks for clearing this up.

Grumpy, I hope your still with us. Just put a restrictor on the carb. That will help big time. It helped me so it was more drivable. See-ya on the hill.

Guys keep this on track. Whatever happened at the meeting stays there. Keep the talk on the topic at hand, "Spec" Slash class. It's been awhile since someone's had to sit in a time out ;)

Red, was that for me???? :? If it is I really don't care. I won't be racing much anyways, now that the slash spec. class is messed up. (just my opinion) by the way who is Jimmy Babcock? I've never heard of him. Please don't answer that. Grumpy I'll see ya around. Shane got everything you need because I won't be using it. Bye,Bye.

I you don't want a reply then don't ask.

Jimmy Babcock is the standard for slash rules and most everybody follows them.

If you don't want to play anymore just take your ball and go home.......

It's not our fault were the only 2 that seem to have a clue what the class was when the club started it last year.
The part I'll never understand is that last year the rules were passed around at the meeting and posted on this website. Seems simple enough, but for some reason the same people that get on here and type post after post after post still don't know how to or take the time to READ!
As for the tire rule, last year the rules we adopted(JBRL) were amended to not include tires to be changed because one person who doesn't race the class or have any intrest in it suggested it, then a few others jumped on the bandwagon because cheap sounded good to them. This would have been great if we only ran on carpet. The fact is we lived and learned for one year and now the other side gets to try it our way and I'll bet the trucks work much better this year.
If you race the class and don't want to buy tires then don't, just grab a hose and water the track every 15 minutes. Let me know how that works out for you! :lol

First things first. I do not run this class so it does not matter to me either way but need to try and help out somehow, and to try and explain to those that don't understand.

Everybody needs to keep in mind that this class rules are going to be whatever the MAJORITY of those that are ACTUALLY RUNNING the class want them to be.

As far as the tire rule goes just remember an ALLOWABLE tire does not mean you HAVE to. It just opens up everybodies options for tire selection. Go ahead and run whatever you want, not everybody agrees on what tire is the best.
