Joining LSRCC question
I'm very new to this hobby & was wondering if it's at all possible to drop of membership dues somewhere other than on thursday nights or organized race days. I'm interested in practicing on LSRCC's track & got the itch as to I'd like to be able to as soon as possible. Any help is greatly apreciated! Thanks in advance

I forgot to say I'm more than willing to help out with whatever needs to be done as far as working on the track or in any way that is needed. All I need to know is when, and what I need to bring. thanks

Can find somebody up at the track most nights all depends on everyones work and family schedule. I was only there for about an hour myself tonight and just got home, Gary I know had to stop off at Menards for supplies before he was heading up there so he may be there now.
Family membership is $30 for a year and a single membership is only $20. It's that time of the year right now when memberships are due, I just paid mine last week in fact.
Seems to always be something to do or help out with at the track, nothing really needed at first just a helping hand. After you see what is needed and if you think you have something to offer by all means bring it up.
Really nice having more people that enjoy the same hobby!!

what to expect?
I'm sure this question has been answered numerous times, but I haven't been able to find it, trying to find some general information about the practice nights and local race events. What to expect, any tips or advice would be great. I apologize for my ignorance, and if it's easier to just show up i understand. Thanks

We race Thursday nights,we try to start at 6pm. Practice is any time you can get up there. What to expect ? For race nights most folks show up between 4-5 pm and set up their pit space.
They start signing up racers around 5:30
We will have a early sign-up thread running on this web site.
After everybody signs up ,they post the heats.
Most people try to have their car ready 1 race before theirs comes up.
After your race, each driver needs to corner marshal for the next race.
the way we keep track of the cars on the race track is with a transponder.
If you don't have one we might have one to rent (see Hammer in the long white trailer).
To confirm race dates , check out calendar on main web page.
Good Luck

Transponders are $5 per night (or weekend if 2 day race). It only takes a hole the size of a body post, pushed through from the inside and held on with a body clip on the outside. You will normally see them mounted to the windshield.
My pit spot is nearest to the drivers stand steps right next to the rock crawler pile of rocks. "VESEL Racing" on the side.
Hope you can make it this week!!

Re: Joining LSRCC question
If you want to try out the racing this dirt season we do have club rental trucks and you would be more then
to give it a try. Yes we do race in the winter at the Superior National Guard Armory and the schedule will be out soon.

Re: Joining LSRCC question
Winter racing is all electric onroad on ozite racing carpet. Completely different than dirt but loads of fun, cars feel like they are on rails glued to the track if set up properly.
You owe it to yourself to give both seasons a try!!
