VTA

Post by gguertin145 »

This is just a feeler thread to see if there is really any interest in adding a VTA class this year at LSRCC.

I am trying to decide what I want to race this year along with my mini cooper. Living in the cities I will not be making every Thursday race but I would like to make a few and as many of the Weekend races as possible. The two classes I am looking at would be Spec Truck and VTA. I am not trying to start any fights I just saw Gary's post about it being discussed and was not aware it was even being considered.

Are there enough people interested in this to support a class?

Thanks!
Greg

Greg, Most of my sons scouting meetings have been moved to mondays, so i should be able to attend alot more thursday races this year. If the club decides to race VTA on thursdays, i will race VTA, we already have VTA as a class for sundays, just spotty on how many show up. I am also running Spec Truck on thursday. If you decide on Spec Truck, let me know, Kevin and I have picked up a few extra chassis if you don't find one. There are a couple on Ebay right now also.

We are starting a 25.5 2 cell class here in Sioux Falls on our 30x60 track... should be fun!

At least sioux falls is doing vta right. I'm racing it at tcorc but I'm not happy about 17.5/1s. Its just lame
You have class but I have style. When we get to the track you will know the difference.

At this point I am strongly considering the vta instead... I like running offroad on fridays and then I can just have one onroad car for the weekend races... well that and mini cooper but that doesnt count :)

2 cell with a 21.5 makes more sense for a fullsize track.

Totally agree with you. I wish minnesota was as progressive as other states. But when it comes to people spending 150 bucks for a rule change the people in charge turn in to little girls and we end up running the same slow garbage for way too long

I wish we ran the same as everywhere else too but the class is so big in the cities it isn't worth messing with it.

Didn't the real vta rules change to 2 cell with a 25.5 motor now?
