Chill on the Hill track surface

Post by RCRacing »

Just wondering if anyone knows how likely the track will be "glued" like it was for the SSES race? I know weather might play a factor, but just trying to get tires ready.

As nice as the traction was, tire wear was the sucks. I hope we just water it to drain the tank...

More than likely, run a Friday night practice, WET, so we can work on it at the same time, then close the track at the end of the night and glue it, and let the cars do their thing for the rest of the weekend, unless the weather says otherwise. =P

I think gluing it would be great. With the cooler weather I don't tire wear will be as bad.

What is this gluing you are speaking of? and what tires would be good for a 2WD buggy then? I run on loose track so high traction is a mystery to me

Elmers glue and water mixture were sprayed on the track and it increased traction, but also increased the tire wear a little. IFMAR pins, FlipOuts, basically any smaller pin type tread pattern in a soft or super soft work.
