Almost like an 1/8th scale, just no nitro motor.

I would really like to get a nitro class going this year. 1/8 buggy would be cool, but they are really hard on the track. I ran a traxxas slayer last year but I really want a TLR ten-sct nitro. Heck I'd be cool with a nitro misfit class, rather than running with the electrics.

You're going to be hard pressed to get guys to go back to nitro. It's not that they are hard on the track, they are just a lot of work to race on club nights.
The pro4 truck class is going to be big this year. They are just as fun as 1/8 scale. I would get yourself one of those or put the electric conversion in your slayer. Save your nitro for the MN off-road series. They will be here twice this year and twice in north branch which is only 1.5 hrs away. Just my opinion.
See you soon,

+1 on what joe said.

1/8 is fun but with the hassle of nitro, most just don't participate in the class anymore.

Pro4 is looking to be huge this year. There are already 6 or 7 new pro4s that I know of and it's early. They handle amazing, the tire wear is very minimal, no matter what the track surface they hook up and they have all the power of an 1/8. The speedos are only $89 and motors about the same for all the power you will ever need. Hope to see you this summer!!
