Fixing my Trinity Street Spec / Spec Truck

Post by StatGSR »

I'm trying to get my trinity street spec / spec truck ready for this indoor season. I have a couple issues, I have destroyed the threads on one of the front axles so that needs to be replaced and when i bought the car it came with some threaded hardware holding the steering block and spring. When I got it, it did come with two pins that appear to be the correct for replacing the threaded screw (which binds the suspension block and spring so whatever amount of suspension this car has doesn't really work at all), but after trying every size and pitch i could find locally, i could not find a nut to thread onto them. Based on my trials and errors, I believe I am looking for #6-40 Locknuts, is anyone able to confirm the correct size? or does anyone know of another method where I might be able to rebuild that part with new parts?

regarding the steering block and axles, it looks like some of the AE stuff might be compatible, but could anyone confirm what steering blocks and axles work for these or is there another company that has stuff that works? It looks like the RC10R5 or maybe the 10LT3 stuff should work, but i wouldn't mind confirming with some of you guys that have been racing these for a while.

Below i attached some photos of my current equipment and the shaft i think it supposed to be used for mounting the steering block and spring.

Thanks for the help guys! ~Kyle

Some older ae would work. I use RJ Speed parts. The legands stuff works. It's old Bolink. Go one there site and you will see there the same parts. To get your steering blocks to slide, polish your shafts. Good luck.
